4-H Youth Development
Making the Best Better
By far, 4-H is the most known and visible Extension development program, best known for its 4-H Clubs and summer 4-H Camps, but Extension also offers literacy and adult volunteer leadership programming related to 4-H and youth development.
West Virginia 4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential by working and learning in partnership with caring adults. 4-H is America’s only national youth development program with direct access to technological advances from university research. The fundamental 4-H ideal of practical “learn by doing” experiences encourages youth to experiment, innovate and think independently.
